Three hour Ecotour on the North Landing River and an hour Picnic on a totally secluded dock surrounded by nature! Picnic basket includes fresh fruits, meats and cheeses, bread, crackers, pasta salad and water. Guests are welcome to bring a drink of their choice. 1-4 guests.

Sunrise/Sunset Tours

Sunrise and sunset on the river can be absolutely spectacular. Two hour minimum. For Sunrise tours, we will meet at the dock 45 minutes before sunrise. Sunset tours are timed so that we return to the dock 45 minutes after sunset. 1-6 guests.

While enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife along the North Landing River & IntraCoastal Waterway, we will pass under two drawbridges and arrive at the Great Bridge Battlefield and Waterways Historic Park near the Great Bridge Locks. Along the way we will discuss the local history of the area and the canal, environmental and preservation issues. Battlefield Park offers a visitors center, waterway and interpretive trails, and a picnic area. 1-6 guests.

Three hour Ecotour on the North Landing River and an hour Crab Feast in quiet and solitude in a totally secluded dock surrounded by nature! The Blue Crabs are locally caught in Back Bay and Currituck Sound and steamed in Pungo. 2-6 guests.

Winter Eagle Tours

While there are resident Bald Eagles all year on the the North Landing River, more eagles migrate to the area each Winter. We will travel along the North Landing while discussing the history of the river, ecology, and the biodiversity to be found in the watershed. We even stop at an Eagle nest that is located on the shore. Dress warm! 1-6 guests.

Ecotour on the North Landing River to an island rookery in Currituck Sound. With over a thousand pairs of nesting wading birds, the photo opportunities are amazing! Tour start times are flexible, but the early morning is best. 1-6 guests. (Best April -> early July)

Travel south on the North Landing River into Currituck Sound to an island rookery with over two thousand pairs of nesting wading birds! After visiting the rookery, we will boat to the village of Coinjock and eat lunch dockside at the Coinjock Marina Restaurant. Following lunch, travel back to Pungo by boat. 1-6 guests. Tour to Corolla

Leaving from Pungo Ferry in Virginia Beach, we follow the North Landing River into Currituck Sound and make our way towards Corolla, stopping by an island rookery on the way. In Corolla, visit the historic Whalehead Club and Currituck Lighthouse - entry fee included for both. We will also visit the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education and historic Corolla. Before we travel back to Pungo, we will eat lunch at Fat Crabs (lunch included) . 1-6 guests.

False Cape Beach Tour

From Back Bay Landing, cruise across Back Bay to False Cape State Park, one of the most remote parks in Virginia. False Cape is home to hundreds of nesting and migrating birds and has five distinct community types. Over 50 rare and threatened species can be found in the park. We will dock at the Wash Woods boat dock, visit the Wash Woods Cemetery, and hike the Wash Woods Interpretive Trail to the secluded beach (1 mile). Walk is mildly strenuous due to the loose sand. 1-6 guests. Minimum tour length is 3 hours.

NorthWest River Tour

Leaving Pungo Ferry, we will travel south on the North Landing River, cross into North Carolina and turn west into the mouth of the beautiful Northwest River. Cruising in deep, dark waters, the Northwest River snakes it way back into Virginia through unspoiled Cypress forest. Much of the land along the river is preserved with the Northwest River Marsh Game Land in NC and the Northwest River Natural Area Preserve in VA. Minimum tour length 3 hours. 1-6 guests.
